I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a great mystery! It is the fourth book in the Dr. Kay Scarpetta series. Patricia Cornwell is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Kay Scarpetta series. Maybe it was more pronounced b/c I read them 5 months apart than the 5 or 6 yrs they were published apart--so mabe would lower it a little to just 3.5ish stars. I like him and have since the beginning. The contrast between the officers’ and Joe’s points of view is highlighted by the juxtaposed images of the officers high-fiving each other while Joe looks down sadly.
